The Golden Record is a ten minute essayistic notebook film combining ripped video from YouTube, material from the Golden Record (a phonograph record put on board the Voyager spacecraft in 1977, intended for intelligent extra terrestrial life), and encounters with a man called Moitessier. The film interweaves fact and fiction through archive material, newly captured moving image, still image and sound, and narration.
